Ok, well. Thanks. - Dec 14 2008
Just upgraded Slackware. It comes with Firefox 3.0.4. I noted that qtcurve-gtk doesn't draw statusbar frames on Firefox. It did on FF 2.

qtcurve-gtk = 0.59.7 compiled with -DQTC_NEW_MOZILLA=true option

qtcurve-kde = 0.59.5

GTK2 = 2.12.12
KDE3 = 3.5.10
QT = 3.3.8b

Hi. Just downloaded Firefox 3 and noticed that the text color of selected Top Menu remains white, or better, the backgroud doesn't go blu. I don't know if this is a Firefox issue or QtCurve one. With the same style in FF 2, the top menu item text color is black.

I know FireFox is not a GTK app, but I noticed this: when opening the options panel, and click advanced preferences, the frames labels stay white. To help my poor English, I uploaded an image here:

I'm using QtCurve-GTK last. I set general appearance
and all other things as gradient. In firefox the tabs of main window stay always with glass.

I would like they respect the scheme like other apps do, if possible... Thanks.

P.S. in SeaMonkey the problem doesn't exist. Tabs are shown with gradient. - Apr 25 2007
Ok. I found the reason. My Xserver dpi was set to 92.
If I set -dpi 75, the bug gones. So, you should reproduce the bug setting X dpi = 92 and
firefox layout.css.dpi = 0

I feel happy with QtCurve! I posted an image here:

to show better.

It only affects the address bar. The search bar is good.
The image represent the arrow after I mouse over it.

Also, sometimes when I'm loading a webpage all
the top border of the address bar disappears, not only
https. Bye. - Apr 18 2007

Hi. I have an annoying bug in Firefox. When I mouse
over the arrow of the address box bar, the top border of the box containing the arrow disappears.

Also, when entering https sites, the address box top border disappears for some second covered by the yellow color.

The bug is both with general appearance Gradient and Glass.

Hi, Craig.

I noticed a problem with QtCurve and Qt checkboxes.

In the next image you see the checkboxes in the middle, with Plastik theme:

http://img459.imageshack.us/img459/1585/plastikcheckboxesjy1.jpg

In this image the checkboxes are moved
on the right, with QtCurve theme:

http://img399.imageshack.us/img399/5075/qtcurvecheckboxesuh0.jpg

The images represent a piece of a program I'm writing with Gambas2, using Qt toolkit. The checkbox bug is shown only with QtCurve.

Best regards.
- Nov 07 2006
Why CraigD doesn't get the error, and me and the German guy do? Uhm... umh...

Because his $LANG variable is en_US or en_GB.

Try:

export LANG=it_IT; gimp

and you will get the error. The same if you export LANG=fr_FR or de_DE or es_ES. So, it seems that there's a problem with that QtCurve scheme option and
the no English languages.

Ciao. - Nov 06 2006
Hi, all

For this old error:

1) starting any gtk2-application from console gives the following output:
-:1: error: unexpected character `,', expected character `}'
-:1: error: unexpected character `,', expected character `}'.

I found the reason: it's happens when in your
QtCurve scheme, in "Menus & Toolbars" the
option "Lighter popup-menu background" is selected.
As temp workaround unselect that option.
Tested with 0.45.1 (thanks for KDE statusbar fixes).

Ciao.

Hi.

Just to confirm the bug.

Hi.

First: thanks for 0.45. Then, I noticed a little _detail_ which I want to take to your attention, even if it is a real little _detail_.

In the kmail status bar, or konqueror status bar, the frames around elements change when something happens in the application.

When I start kmail the status bar looks like this:

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/9333/kmailstatusbargoodkj9.jpg

then after I select another mail folder or I download emails, the frames in the status bar look like:

http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/9845/kmailstatusbarbadre0.jpg

The same thing happens in konqueror, when I delete
a file or when I open/close the sidebar.

This is a very short _detail_ ...feel free to > /dev/null.

KDE 3.4.2
Qt 3.3.2

Thanks. Bye.

- Oct 25 2006
Yes, they works fine! This is not the problem. In fact I made a new feature request. Giving the user an alternative choise: just drawing the top border of the status bar, without frames, as user "daff" explained in
the second posted image.

If this is not possible, at least the possibility to have
squared frames in status bar, instead of rounded, even
if general style roundness is set to full.

Thanks. Bye. - Oct 25 2006
Hi.
I posted two screenshots. In the first you can see that
the firefox status bar has non border.

In the second, I opened the "Find" tool and you can see it has the border, but the status bar doesn't.

Hi.

After upgrading from 0.35 to 0.44, I noticed that now the status bar top border does not exist. In firefox it doesn't look really good, I did prefer the old way with
a line delimiting the status bar on top.

The only possibility to see a kind of border is to enable "draw frames in status bar". Is not possible to add another alternative choise to "draw frames..." like e.g. "draw status bar delimiter".?

Thanks.

P.S. In konqueror when you delete a file, the frame in
the status bar is not drawn good: it misses some parts. - Oct 24 2006
To be much clearer: I can't load QtCurve schemes.

Anyone else has this problem with KDE 3.4.x and
last QtCurve?

Thanks. - Oct 23 2006
Hi.

After installed 0.44.3, I noticed that I'm not able to load
schemes. I can save them, but when I select a scheme
nothing happens. My previous QtCurve was 0.35 and with that I was able to load schemes. I did a clean install, so I'm almost sure that there are no conflicts.
After reinstalling 0.35 I'm able again to load schemes.

KDE 3.4.2
QT 3.3.2

Does the bug depend on my old KDE 3.4 version?

Bye - Oct 22 2006
Hi,
I noticed that the vertical sliders in the VLC equalizer
are coloured in opposite way than KDE apps. VLC uses
wxgtk2 libs, so I don't know if this is a bug of wkgtk2 or
QtCurve-GTK2. I don't have other GTK2 apps with vertical sliders for testing. Here's a snapshot:

http://img415.imageshack.us/my.php?image=vlcsliderslg1.jpg

I'm using the latest QtCurve-GTK2.

Bye. - Oct 21 2006
Installed QtCurve 0.44.3. Just thanks for gambas fixes. - Oct 20 2006
I temporary posted two snapshots here:

http://gbxgol.sourceforge.net/gambas-qtcurve-035.jpg

http://gbxgol.sourceforge.net/gambas-qtcurve-044.jpg

The color scheme is the same for both, but as you
can see with 0.44.2 the toolbuttons background stays
gray. Restarting X or KDE doesn't help. I get the same
behaviour with Gambas2.

Thanks. - Oct 13 2006
Hi.
I upgraded from 0.35 to the last 0.44.1, mostly to
solve the mozilla progressbar bug. Unfortunately, I noticed that the Gambas IDE toolbars stay gray.
I don't have gray in my color scheme.
This problem doesn't exist in 0.35, using the same color scheme. Also, other styles don't give this problem.
Anyone else noticed the same bug?
Thanks.
