Symbolic icons still looks kind of bad. It's not as clean looking as Newatia.
Could you try to make folder icons little less saturated? Teal folders are fine looks best in dark theme. While the Sky and Yellow folders looks best with Light theme.
But I have to say that not a single icon set on Internet come close to your Newatia icons. - Aug 26 2020

10 the best. Combined with Dracula GTK3 theme by Eliverlara, It defeats any desktop look. It is the cleanest icon theme.

Update: Sorry, the theme is working just fine when moved to ~/.themes directory. Earlier I had placed the theme in ~/.local/share/themes directory which caused the problem. - Jun 24 2019
