We can not forget the blood that was shed. The problem is that people tend to 'beautify' the crucifixion with a loin cloth and show only a little blood on His hands and feet and brow. But the truth is always offensive. He was beaten with a whip (most likely a cat and nine tails with jagged pieces of rock on the ends) which tears the skin off in chunks. Had a spear jabbed into His side and a crown of thorns put on his head.

So yes this should be offensive. We should remember the blood thats the point. Without the blood shed we would not be cleansed of our sins. - Dec 17 2008

I tried it out and the window border works fine but the window colors and controls don't look the same. Also I had to select it after installing, instead of it asking me if I wanted to apply it.
The color for the window was a burnt yellow instead of the red background you show in your screenshot.

I am in 8.10 if that makes any difference. - Dec 09 2008

Do you think you could take this a step further and add a user list to it? It would be great for the users that are coming from windows into the linux world. (make sure you hide your sudo user from the list). - Dec 08 2008

I like the buttons. Is there an app that uses these or just a regular icon theme?

If not there should be. it would be cool to see an iphone like app that could be on the desktop like a screenlet. - Dec 08 2008

Circle Starts

Icon Sub-Sets by Cisoun 53 comments

you can also open nautilus or what ever program you use to view your files. Navigate to your home directory hit CTRL H. (That will show hidden directories and files.) Making sure that you have renamed the circle start button to start-here.png. Then cut and paste that new start button into the same directory as start-here.png that is in your theme. If you are using a default theme that comes with your disto that is located in the /usr/share/themes/ directory. If you have to put it in /usr/share/themes/ you will have to do sudo cp filename /usr/share/themes/_your_theme_.
Hope this helps. - Nov 03 2008

Didn't know if you saw my variation of your emerald theme but I gave you credit. I called it Dark Radial. I liked it so much had to make a dark version to match mine. Good job. - Oct 01 2008

Also the scrollbar arrows should maybe be changes to the same level white as the metacity buttons and your fonts. It'll make them stand out. - Sep 30 2008

Maybe you could make it change with the time and add a black version. For an example do a search for Allday.

Like the Wallpapers.

When you click edit to update information about the file, toward the bottom of the form is a screenshot section. You can upload the thumbnail there. - Sep 23 2008
Going To Shutdown!

Gnome Screenshots by mayurarora 2 comments

I would use that for any reason that the computer needs to shutdown/restart immediately so that the user can save their work. Updates generally are able to wait until the user deems that it is time to shutdown or restart. So probably I would use it on a situation like: The battery is dieing on your laptop and is shutting down soon. - Sep 23 2008

I don't see anything moving. It's just a still image of a cloudy sky over water. Maybe the link goes to the wrong file?

Would be great if you could integrate the 'Allday' wallpaper idea into this if this is animated. - Sep 23 2008
