But I almost think it repeats too many times, which kinda take away from the look. much like how tiled wallpapers are rarely used anymore.
There any chance to get one lets say, 4 times as long? - Jun 16 2008

but its a high quality raindrop on a leaf. lol - May 26 2008
For some reason whenever I hover over the entries the highlighted entry's text turns to white and the entry is not highlighted. if you throw the mouse around a bit you might notice a very slight flicker of color where the entry is getting highlighted then immediately changed back.
This is a problem for me as white on a light blue/gray is practically impossible to see.
And I just figured out the cause. I've made my Menus translucent. Disabling this makes the issue go away.
Oddly enough tho this bug doesn't happen anywhere else but in kicker's grouping menu. - Jun 18 2007
And just confirmed with Aaron. Guess what I need to do is have tweak delete the .desktop if the user wants the panel to start. makes me wonder why I never noticed this when testing.... - May 20 2007
To fix your kicker problem enable it in tweak or delete the entry found in ~/.kde/share/autostart
As for your userlist in KDM, tweaK doesn't touch that. In fact I don't even know how to enable or disable it! and for the 2nd time tweaK never touches kdmrc (the KDM config file)
Are you refearing to the userlist in KDM Themes or the standard dialog(Not themed)? If you don't know for sure if your KDM is themed or not, ask in your distribution's channel how you change this, or you can use kdmtheme which gives you a dialog to configure which theme KDM uses or you can prevent KDM from being themed. http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php/KDM+Theme+Manager?content=22120
If your using a KDM Theme and your list doesn't exist your theme may not support a userlist.
Either way check your KDM settings in kcontrol -> System Administration -> Login Manager
Perhaps you've got something misconfigured in the Users tab.
For any questions you might try asking on IRC in your distribution's channel Or in your distribution's Forum - May 13 2007
I've fixed the kicker issue. But I can't seem to figure out how your shutdown option got disabled unless you unchecked it.
As for autologin tweak doesn't touch that at all. In fact kdmrc is *never* touched at all. - May 09 2007

There it explains how to "Force the Location Toolbar to share a row with the Main Toolbar in Konqueror" - Mar 28 2007
The type "Arrowless" would be more appropriately called "Buttonless" as you add the arrows to the bar.
personally I was rather bummed as I'd rather it be Arrowless and Buttonless having only the bar visible.
So as a feature request I purpose having the option of a scrollbar type "Buttonless" and an option to have the arrows be always visible, invisible, or visible on hover for all scrollbar types. - Mar 23 2007

I'll have to look into porting this and perhaps talk about getting it in kdeadmin. From the way things look at work currently I may have a lot more free time than normal.
At the moment I can't promise anything tho. - Jan 31 2007
All the options I found on kde's wiki.
Just search for "Secret" and it'll give you all the options in this applet, and then some, tho I tried to implement as many of them as I could.
The next version will have the don't start kicker option available :) - Jan 07 2007
We'd also need to figure out if this is a KDE thing or a distro-KDE thing. I'm not sure I have a smooth scrolling option. still have yet to test out that command. But when I do that'll tell us. - Jan 07 2007

The lack of imperfection, in her skin most notably, has caused her to look like a doll. which IMO takes away from the beauty of this photograph/artwork. - Dec 09 2006
with the tabs separated it just looks weird IMO. but I do agree with you with them not separated.
"And yes, the arrows on the sliders have just appeared. It's written in the changelog. Does anybody read it? ;-)"
normally yes, I guess I read it, started playing and forgot what I just read. I blame the excitement =) - Dec 06 2006
Here are some ideas for the next version:
tab highlight highlights entire tab not just a 'box' inside the tab.
treeview style that uses the "normal" arrows without a frame and a dot inside, files use just the dot.
IMO the modern style seems out of place.
have the radio buttons use a filled circle.
no arrows on the slider (were the arrows added in 1.6?)
Option for a non-sunken scrollbar when dragging. - Dec 06 2006

Hedron when you go to compress up your theme please make sure it's only 1 directory deep.
kdmtheme only looks for the GdmGreeterTheme.desktop in the first directory.
yours was in TheLight/TheLight/GdmGreeter....
Also for KDE4 be sure to include a KdmGreeterTheme.desktop (pretty much just do a copy of the GdmGreeterTheme.desktop)
Great theme Thanks! :)
noticed you tried to work in a userlist. would be great if you could figure out a placement for it that wouldn't distract from your image.
not seen too many themes with a userlist sadly and that's 1 thing I miss by having a themed greeter. - Oct 17 2006

I just tried to install a source code package as a normal user and got no error message of any kind just said it installed, which I know to be not true.
when as a normal user it should prompt for root in order to install.

kaffeine 0.8 seems to have a very cleaned up interface. and all functionality back in.
while the playlist is no longer detachable you can still see the video
while you can't make the playlist part small enough to fully satisfy be I'm happy again :) no more 0.4 for me. - Jul 03 2006

Video Apps by menace1982 46 comments
I'm skeptical about merging the 2.
Why? I'm afraid that it might take away from the general direction that amarok has taken.
Take kaffeine for example. in pre-0.4.x releases it's direction was mainly video. and it did it very very well. in fact I still use a patched up 0.4.3b
in later releases the direction was switched to multimedia in general. while it could play audio it certainly wasn't meant in my opinion to be an audio player. even after all the gui changes it's still not up to par. 0.7 is MUCH better than it was! in fact it's back to it's usable state. now if they could only add an option to get rid of those stupid tabs forever I'd be very happy.
so in short I'd be fine with the idea of video support. as long as amarok doesn't try to be a multimedia player and sticks with it's audio roots. - Jul 03 2006
