I noticed the normal taskbar does not suffer from this issue, so maybe some timing is at play here ? - Sep 29 2011

Is there a way to enable minimize/restore of window when left clicking on the dock ? If there's more than one instance it should just display all tooltip previews (like it does now).

Btw: the scripts should probably state /bin/bash instead of /bin/sh, because dash is the default /bin/sh on ubuntu, and make the install fail. Easy fix though :) - Sep 13 2010
(i know its not final software, obviously, just wanted to hightlight any potential issues).
Anyways good work, it looks great :)

If you just drag them a few pixels they stick around, instead of jumping back again. It works fine however if you keep dragging until it reaches 1/3 of the icon beside it, which then makes then exchange places.. its just a minor thing really.

Is there any reason why I dont have previews for my running applications when hovering over the application icon ? All I get is the same icon twice.
Or does the previews require desktop effects to be turned on ?
Keep up the nice work :) - Aug 20 2009

On qtcurve 55.2/kde4 using the windeco, and double-clicking the menu button only works sometimes. When it works, you need to click VERY fast. Timing issue?
Thanks for a great style+windeco :)

It would be nice to be able to launch the mail app by clicking the tray icon aswell, and maybe rightclick to show messages?

I'm getting rid of kbiff now.
Could you please let the menu in the tray reflect the mail application you have chosen?
I use thunderbird, but the menu still says KMail.
Keep up the good work ! - Sep 21 2007
Some of the notifications could include more details of the messages waiting to be read (like your current screenshot shows).
Happy hacking :)

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by screemo 6 comments
You have to (re)build a KDE with these patches applied to it.
Depending on your distro, you might have some convenience scripts to help you (think rpmbuild, debuild etc.), otherwise you can probably build a vanilla KDE using the instructions here: http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/Stable_Version
Hope the above helps, although its a little more than ./configure; make ; sudo make install ;)

I was noticing that the text color on a selected menu item is white in KDE apps, and black in Gtk apps. Is this a bug ?

Tried deleting the configurationfile aswell, but no change.

Could you possibly make an option to move the close button more to the upper right corner, so that when windows are maximized, you can close them by moving the mousepointer all the way to the last pixel of the upper right corner and still hit the button ?
Now there's like 1-2pixels, and you have to move back to click the close button. - Aug 17 2006

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by mart 499 comments
1) add an option for making the "All Programs", section a separate menu (much like xp).
2) Ability to change the "Menu"-text to something user-selected
3) Ability to rearrange via options the "username" - "switch user" - "lock session" - "log out", so that you can have the logout button first, and so on.
4) Status indication when doing a search (spinning wheel, or something similar). For now it just locks up, until search is done.
5) I can host your files if you like another mirror ?

I've seen another feature in a windeco that allowed you to move the mouse to the farest top-right and then be able to close the window (actually hitting the regular close icon, as this was moved more top-right than currently).
I've seen this implemented in a livecd with kde 3.5beta2 announced on dot.kde.org. It might have been "Klax", but i'm not sure. - Oct 31 2005
Could you make the tabs handle like in the
native Konsole application ?
* doubleclick renames tab
* ctrl+shift+n creates new
* alt+1/2/3... for switching betweeen consoles (could be configurable)
That way you dont have to use the mouse for operating multiple consoles :)
Keep it up ! - Oct 02 2005
