In a practical way, you have to work without any distraction for 25 mins, and have a short pause of 5 mins before starting again.

Mh, I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex, maybe that is the problem... However I've just discovered, reading on another topic, that Cimi (the Murrine engine creator) doesn't want others to share svn packages... You should try compiling it by yourself:
This is the command to download the latest code from the svn repository:
then you have to:
cd gtk2-engines-murrine-0.60svn
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-animation
make
sudo make install
