This issue is an unfortunate side-effect of the way fontrendering in this theme is amplified with adding shadow around the letters. In Transmission and Virtual-manager this leads (for some reason) double shadow on the letters, making them hard to read when hovering over them. I've not yet found a solution yet. - 14 hours ago
The bug is already filed at the developers, so they know the issue exists. They've not yet implemented a solution - 15 hours ago
I would like to add, that it is for the developers of gnome-tweak to resolve the bug. The hack is..well just a hack. - 1 day ago
There is a hack: add this in the gtk.css file :

.tweak-titlebar-left{font-size: 0;min-width: 200px;}

This essentially makes the left-pane fixed at 200px wide and removes the 'tweak'-word in the top-left-titlebar. In this situation -having the titlebuttons on the left - the issue is no longer present. - 1 day ago
Thanks, I cannot not reproduce the error. I use Manjaro-gnome. The error is only present with Tweak-tool, when having the titlebuttons on the left-side. Resizing the Tweak-window to make it larger solves the 'issue'. Other themes have some sort of the same issue with tweak-tool with title buttons on the left. But I will try to find a fix. - 1 day ago
please, provide me a screenshot of the issue. Virt-manager seems to use GTK3, but I run into allot of warning of things-not-installed. I d not want to go trough the works, though. I'll try to find out with the screenshot you provide - 1 day ago
will be fixed in next version - 1 day ago
please, what application do you mean with virtual manager?
True, as much as I would like, it conflicts with the use of REM for determining the size of the buttons. When setting the font f.ex. to 9pt. The buttons are so small that the dots make the textbuttons unreadable. - May 20 2020
Yaru and Adwaita are part of the default themes for snap-packages. Gnome-Prof is not. That is why, when using my theme, it defaults to Adwaita - May 17 2020
Ubuntu uses snap, not flatpak. So the command is useless... My fault. - May 17 2020
Ubuntu increasingly use snaps if you download something from the Ubuntu-software-center.
This unfortunately means that they do not follow the theme.
So some app's that are snaps use the default adwaita theme.
For example the Ubuntu-software-center is a snap-package and thus uses Adwaita, instead of Gnome-Prof-theme.
The only (easy) solution is to avoid snap-packages and find their versions in the repositories.

Unfortunately I did not yet make the CSS code for Nemo. Gnome only for now. - May 16 2020
There is no support for the mate desktop. For the moment it is gnome only - May 16 2020
thanks!
Tried Wayfire, but the blur (which I long for) is simply to resourceful and thus very slow. This is a bummer... - May 15 2020
For ubuntu-users complaining about Ubuntu-software-center not applying the theme: this is because the Software-center is a flatpak, not a deb. For flatpaks use this command:
sudo flatpak override --filesystem=~/.themes
Next, make sure the theme-file is situated under the '.themes'-folder.
Then, open gnome tweak tool (you might need to install it first), and choose the Gnome-Prof-theme to your liking. Now flatpaks will follow the theme. - May 15 2020
Hey the commandline for ubuntu users in the description might help - May 14 2020
sudo flatpak override -filesystem=~/.themes
This command is necessary to make flatpak-app's use the theme. (set the theme in the ".themes" -folder)
I'm not an ubuntu user, but you can try it. See if it works - May 14 2020
I am a one man operation, it is on the list... - May 13 2020

It is an extension for nautilus, that allows you to choose different colors for the files - Apr 08 2020
The theme is made for 3.36, which has different theming issues in the shell-theme. So basically use version3.2. And if you upgrade to gnome 3.36, take version 3.3 - Apr 08 2020

Well, it is not easily done. Soon there will be a normal (blue-accent) version. - May 06 2020
Thanks for your opinion. I tend to agree, but it depends on the font, and the fontsize, the DPI-scale that you can set with the tweak-tool. There is allot you can do, to set it to your liking. - May 06 2020
Thank you for replying. There are some issues (like f.e the Ubuntu-font (it is already a thick font, thus renders too much thickness that it becomes unreadable), and some applications (like transmission (when hovering over a selected download) have issues.
The effect is a using a text-shadow in all things that uses text in the UI. Just open the CSS-file and you will see numerous occasions where text-shadow is applied. So It is not something easy to change.

The purpose of offering this preliminary theme is to see how people react to the thicker font. If the general feeling is positive, I will continue.. - May 01 2020
Please comment on the use of the thicker font-rendering... - May 01 2020
Please comment on what you think I should continue: the thicker font, or the normal one. - Apr 30 2020
