You can get it from dannychoo.com

But be careful, it may be NSFW (Not Safe For Work aka don't open it from your office) sometimes - Mar 30 2008
My bad, I should have deleted the other language translation since I didn't provide any translation for them :D

Thank you for your information - Sep 05 2007
It should have been listed in the plugin section.

See this image http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/7636/katefiletreecy8.png

Notice the line with description: Kate File Treview Plugin please - Sep 04 2007
phew :D

I'm very glad it works for you :) - Jul 04 2007
My bad.The patch itself is actually never intended to be applied onto Kate code base.It was made to be applied onto previous (one day older) version of Katefiletree.

This plugin can be separately compiled and installed without kate's source code. Including this plugin into Kate codebase would be beyond my knowledge :). Or is it just a matter of drag and drop into plugin directory? - Jul 01 2007
Actually it's fluxbox dekstop. I try my best to keep my memory consumption as low as possible since this is only a 256 MiB laptop :D

Why not KDE? well I still use many KDE app, eg: katapult, kate, dolphin/konq, kdevelop, amarok .. - Jun 27 2007

It's almost a year, and I've just read the message. Guh.

Is there any some notification message somewhere for "my kde-apps comments"? - May 31 2007
Looking at the quality of my code, it's obvious that my C++/Qt/KDE skill is .. questionable :D. Thus, help from other would be definitely warmly accepted :) - Jan 12 2007
Running on the background is conky. This little app is configurable (what thing to display, display format, etc)

Win deco? It's actually fluxbox desktop (I forgot what theme it was) :D - Jan 12 2007

There were missing quotes that make the script interpreted incorrectly by *sh. Those Kopete and Amarok string came out from a line of dcop command such as: "dcop Kopete SetAway blah blah".

It's now fixed in 0.3.1 :) - Apr 20 2006
Well, user's comment in my blog said it ahs something to do with the 0 option in the the setAway dcop call. This 0 force our satus to be online. This 0 also affect our away status. 0 means not away. So I geuss, if you could just check the mark as away option, you wouldn't be forced to be online. Lemme know if it works on you.

Thx - Jan 18 2006
I am using kopete 0.11 on KDE 3.5.0-1.7.fc4.kde - Jan 09 2006
I've seen that message as well. But it's hard reproduce the message. I just made to pop it up once. But now it's gone.

It has somthing to do with global identity, I guess. - Jan 09 2006
I just made an update. Somehow after i put a fix for the white space bug, the script will be stopped when trying to execute outer script. I found out that this line below what has make it stopped:

source "blah blah"

I change it to:
`source "blah blah"`

Notice the backtick. And now it works. I'm sorry for the silly bug :( - Jan 08 2006
Sorry for my former dummy guide answer :D.

To test wether the script has run, do this in console:

[geek@toni kbfx-theme]$ cat /tmp/amarok-last-song
KoRn - 10 Or A 2-Way
[geek@toni kbfx-theme]$ cat /tmp/amarok-last-album
See You On The Other Side
[geek@toni kbfx-theme]$ ls -l /tmp/kopete-amarok-cover.png
-rw-rw-r-- 1 geek geek 22559 Jan 8 09:31 /tmp/kopete-amarok-cover.png
[geek@toni kbfx-theme]$ - Jan 08 2006
all you have to do is install the script via the script manager.

Open Tools -> Script Manager, click the Install Script button and locate the tar.gz file

Run the script with the Run button - Jan 08 2006

to test kbfxspinx applet without the add/remove applet GUI, we can use appletproxy command.

type 'appletproxy kbfxspinx', that should pop up a small window contains kbfxspix applet. If this command doesn't work (kbfxspinx can't be found), there's a big chance that you'e installed kbfx into a wrong path.

most save way to install kbfx:
make -f Makefile.cvs
./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`
make
make install - Apr 16 2006
For Mandriva, the lib and other binaries are actually copied to the system, but I don't know why kcmshell or even applet proxy cannot found them. I have a suspicion it has something to do with the libtool? - Jan 29 2006
for kcmkbfx, a quick fix would be disabling theme configuration :D, leaving button configuration only :). the kcontrol module crashed when I removed .kbfx folder. Lemme see if I can upload the default theme needed by spinx. But I can't promise the kcmkbfx will provide support full support over spinx theme :(.

Hold on, just found a very quick fix for this crash: mkdir ~/.kbfx && mkdir ~/.kbfx/bartheme

*not in a good mood* - Jan 29 2006
hooo, slow down tux :). Could you be kind enough to tell us why it doesn't compile? It could be a bug you know .. and bug must be squeezed (like I have plenty of time :p) :D .. - Jan 23 2006
I've made several updates to kbfx, mostly in kcmkbfx .. if you prefer bleeding edge, i'm sure you've known what to do :)

changelog and screenshot here:
http://blog.neofreko.com/index.php/2006/01/23/kbfx-changelog-20050123/ - Jan 23 2006
My deepest sorry for that useless button. I've fixed it on the cvs. The correct words are: i removed it :D. Maybe I'll add it again in the future time. Still need to gather the ideas in my head though :D

BTW, there's new update on the cvs (kbfxvista_beta). The preference dialog has been polished pretty much. There's still a small usability bug, but it's not a showstopper .. you can check the screenshot here:
http://blog.neofreko.com/index.php/2006/01/22/another-kbfx-update/ - Jan 22 2006
first of all, the code is missing listboxtile.xpm

Solution: save any picture into source_folder/kbfxvista/listboxtile.xpm. Creating a wide rectangle will be sufficient as it'll be used as listboxitem background.

You may found this error as well:
vistalistbox.cpp:22: error: 'listboxtile_xpm' was not declared in this scope

Solution: Edit vistalistbox.cpp at line 22 and change listboxtile_xpm into listboxtile

Compile as usual :) - Jan 03 2006
Now that you've already had kbfx on your kicker panel, try drag and drop an image onto it. Say that slackware image you're referring. You'll see kbfx will automatically change the image.

If there is any size issue, try removing and then adding back kbfx into kicker panel. Adjust you panel width to fit your image if it's not yet fit it.

Have fun :) - Jul 30 2005

and my patch:

//if (modeFlags & AllowReplace)
if (modeFlags & !AllowReplace)
//dbusFlags |= DBUS_NAME_FLAG_ALLOW_REPLACEMENT;
dbusFlags |= DBUS_NAME_FLAG_PROHIBIT_REPLACEMENT;

it's kinda confusing me since the change is not only a name change but also a logical change. I'm not sure it will work as intended.

As you've said, the spec says DBUS_NAME_FLAG_ALLOW_REPLACEMENT uquals 0x1 but the implementation says it's DBUS_NAME_FLAG_PROHIBIT_REPLACEMENT; that equals 0x1 - Feb 18 2006
after a quick check (only God knows why hadn't I do this before), I found the answer:

[geek@toni kdbus-0.8.5]$ grep -R DBUS_NAME_FLAG /usr/include/dbus-1.0/dbus/
/usr/include/dbus-1.0/dbus/dbus-shared.h:#define DBUS_NAME_FLAG_PROHIBIT_REPLACEMENT 0x1
/usr/include/dbus-1.0/dbus/dbus-shared.h:#define DBUS_NAME_FLAG_REPLACE_EXISTING 0x2

instead of ALLOW, it should be "not PROHIBIT" :) - Feb 18 2006
qdbusconnection.cpp:377: error: 'DBUS_NAME_FLAG_ALLOW_REPLACEMENT' was not declared in this scope

I've already installed dbus-devel. What else do I miss?

Thx - Feb 18 2006

my friends just found this morning that the add action was not done recursively. So instead of getting a folder and all its child added, you'll only get a folder added. I haven't tried import to solve the problem, but I see import is not intuitive for it.

I'll do import if I have source outside my working copy (or when initializing a new project only). And I'll choose add to get a folder/files inside my working copy to be versioned. - Oct 18 2005
Just found out that it's still hard to resolve conflict within kdesvn. Kompare doesn't recognze special svn token such as <<<<<< mine, etc. I wonder wether kdesvn can come out with its own "smart resolver" - Oct 11 2005

for you out there having trouble with image doesn't show up regardless the correctness of path, you may try this:
open Clear.xsl and change

<xsl:variable name="data-path"><xsl:value-of select="$appdata"/>Clear/</xsl:variable>

to

<xsl:variable name="data-path">file:///<xsl:value-of select="$appdata"/>Clear/</xsl:variable>

But here is still one more problem: only one message is rendered. I don't know why - Sep 17 2005

yeah, i like your piece :). Say, what is the windeco are you using there? And did it come with the kmetabar awesome fading line you have there? Or is it another theme?

Nice and clean, love it!

Say, I also has suggestion as well. Since you can differ file types I think you should set different default view for each file type. I mean don't make that classical info (size, owner, permission, etc) as default. Instead, you can put IDtag info for default for audio file (mp3, ogg), or EXIF info for pictures.
