that is so good.. I think it could go upstream, or amarok should really use the Get Hot New Stuff and add your work. - Mar 24 2005

This is a great idea, a good concept. Maybe it should be a little skewed, to look more like a K, I'm sure everyone will notice the similarity to the adobe icon anyways.
And.. I'll keep it a bit darker..
This is a good entry for the contest. - Sep 12 2004

There is an exception to this. You can use a 1bpp transparency mask. The splash screen cannot have a shadow, but it can have a shape.
Try to open the transparent splash screen with kolourpaint to see what it will look like.. not bad at all!
And there will be no problem for developers to implement a shaped splash, it's a fun 5-minutes work! ^_^ - Sep 12 2004

I love amarok, it's a pleasure to browse your gigabytes of music in such an easy way.
Previously I was used to put all music in separated dirs but I had the dilemma: do I make and Artist folder? or an album one? or do I sort by genre? year?? ... Now I put all my music in a single folder and let amarok manage the whole collection!
And the new context browser it's kicking ass! It's fun to move through songs or albums of one artist. And I finally know 'the song I like best', it's the one that I played 58 times :-P

Suggestion: on the context panel you can insert a small panel with some random songs of the same genre (or maybe the most played ones). This way you can navigate from an author to another and enhance your browsing.

Thanks to all amarok developers!!
You've done a great job! - Jun 05 2004

Various KDE Stuff by stefano 91 comments

Thank you so much for that cool piece of software!!!!

It's *so snappy*, looks cool and i'd like to use it everyday for launching apps!

The only missed things are:
- possiblity to customize the apps you can start (I suggest a splitted view with the k-menu-tree on left and a simple list on the right).
- better hilight of the icon you are on (You can fade it to red/blue or just use the settings in kcontrol for hilighted desktop icons (so is more consistent)).
- centering of the bar (that 'expands to left' by default (I know it's a lot of dirty code here :-)).

Then it can became a kicker extension (like child panel and sons) and can be merged into kde head.

Il programma e' davvero fico! ^_^

In KDE32 under KControl -> System Administration -> Sony Vaio Laptop Hardware Configuration, there is an option to change the display brightness too.
It can also modify the sound volume and others using the jog dial, check the battery and get On Screen informations. - Jan 28 2004

Here i can find 4 image types including "cue/bin" image.I used it to burn the big .mp3 file splitted into tracks as described on the accompaining text file.. and I think it's whar you're asking for!

From the "installation instructions" on the top of this web page:

untar the package:
- tar xjpvf kfiresaver3d-0.6-leakfix.tar.bz2

switch to that directory and type:
- ./configure
- make
- make install

The command "./configure" will create the Makefile you're looking for!

Maybe in the future this will be a noatun/xmms plugin.. i can start fireworks at random and explode them only when a beat is detected. If no beats are detected the fireworks simple fade out or fall down..
Thx 4 your suggestion ^_^

The installation is done by typing "make install" after "make" on the unpacked source directory..
If you tried "make install", did it installed the kfiresaver3D.kdesktop file into some directory? where?
looking for news..

So now sit down and enjoy the show.. (looks best at 800x600, not a very good thing :-()

Spiral, you downloaded, tried, fixed, run it and posted this comment about 10 minutes later my addition!! ^_^ compliments!
Anyway, i hope the time problem will disappear in at most 12 hours, right? (i think one hour)
For the second problem.. i tested it on two machines and i didn't need to add such include... pheraps is it something related to wrong timestamps?
Anyway i'm happy you consider it 'nice'.. ^_^
Bye and thanks for your help!
