Credit where its due, Max runs best in DirectX, as Max is the game developers tool. Dont get me wrong, id love a linux version but i cant see it happening. Esp when DX10 comes out, Max is gonna be able to do some amazing things (fully programable pixel / vertex shaders + geometry shading) Who wants to say full Raytraced / G.I. / HDRI preview boxes in real time?
