Maybe it's just a coincidence, as this widget has no effect on video display and plasmashell getting stuck.
If it's not difficult for you, check how much memory the plasmashell process consumes with and without the radio. If the difference is big, write to me, I will check.

I just tried to find Kiev in 3 languages (Ukrainian / Russian / English) and in all cases everything worked out. The problem can arise only if the city name is not fully entered (this is an API feature). If the name of the city is entered in full, then everything is fine. - Jan 02 2022
