kde4-style-skulpture.x86_64 0.2.2-8.1 installed
kde-style-skulpture.x86_64 0.2.2-4.fc10 updates

Alright it is there, but i'm apprehensive about installing the older version. What do you recommend? - Apr 29 2009
Hey thanks for that, never knew it was in the repo. I will try from there.

Also, I installed from the rpm before. I will get back here after the workout. - Apr 29 2009
Hi, ever since I started using KDE 4.1.x I have this wonderful theme all along. Then in-between I switched to Oxygen for a couple of days and then back to Skulpture again now. But now I cannot seem to find the Window decoration in the list :O

Where did it go missing? I have updated to KDE 4.2.2 with QT 4.5 in-between and am on Fedora 10 64bit. I re-downloaded the theme and re-install it again but to no avail. The style is fine but no decoration in the list. Hence I use some other now. But I would like to get this back.

Any ideas? - Apr 29 2009

Yeah, it is all fine and dandy, but how to install it? KDE lacks a central theme management thing like Gnome does, yeah I know about the colour installer and the icon installer but what about complete themes? Either the author has to give in into binaries of rpms, debs etc or .. . I don't know.

How to install? - Apr 05 2009

Hi there,

First, I love the Sculpture theme, one of the very first and best theme for my native KDE 4.

Second, I really appreciate you giving out the rpm package as I primarily use Fedora and even though I am comfortable in compiling and things, I would still prefer a pre-built binary for reasons of my own.

Thanks. Please do provide the same in future too.

I will get back after some testing. Cheers. - Feb 06 2009

The font name is Droid family, its free if I remember correctly, put that into your search box, you should find it.

And remember it shouts at the eye when used in pure black colour, hence I dumbed down the colour off a bit to be more natural.

And yes, yay for Queen :) - Jan 22 2009
Hi glad you liked it. I didn't understand you. If you are implying about the file manager in the screenshot, it isn't Nautilus. It's called PCManFM, you should comfortably find it in your distro's repo. - Jan 21 2009

Nope, sorry. I don't use Emerald, I use GTK-Window-Decorator which provides for Metacity themes. I am using the Zin3 metacity theme here from this same site.

But an Emerald theme shouldn't be hard I guess, I will try to do it when I find time, else you can also try ;-) - Jan 13 2009

Freakin cheater! Boycott this theme.

No wonder it is highest rated..! I was thinking how the hell did another Vista clone go to the top of the ratings.

As hard as we trying to be original and individualistic, people like this put a copy like that with the cheat and make think the newcomers the Windows way.

This theme is no better than other Vista clones that are long dead and so should this. - Dec 28 2008

Thank you for those warm words, it is actually the inverse of Odi and then some more ;) - Sep 27 2008
Of course. its an inverse! And inversion is not just reversing the colours of the pixmaps, if you think that, you are sadly mistaken. It takes more than that, a lot more.

And the original itself is so perfect, its inverse is perfect. And why am I justifying to you, please keep your wise-ass comments to yourself. Don't give me your attitude!

Atleast I got better than a lousy compiz bar and a shitty wallpaper. - Sep 27 2008

Tabs are fixed.

And the panel looks fine enough, isn't it? Well atleast I felt so.

In any case, I will build up some different contrasts in the next update, and you can use whatever background you feel comfortable. - Sep 26 2008
Hehe I don't want to comment on your English, it isn't my native either, so you can say I don't understand it good enough rather than you can say it bad enough ;)

I got the things in the pic. Working on it, should be fixed in next update. As for icons, it's just individual taste, so you're free to choose, I don't want to tie any one particular thing to the theme :P - Sep 26 2008
Er, it doesn't look eh? I had deliberately cut that part to make it more distinguishable, well ok, now that you've mentioned it, the original tabs are on their way ;) Thanks. - Sep 26 2008
Thanks for the feedback!

Honestly I didn't understand anything you said. If you can elaborate it with screenshots for each of the issues you have mentioned, it would be mighty fine. Of course I don't want to impose on you, you can do at your own time ;) - Sep 26 2008
Yeah working on tabs right now, I didn't understand your comment on scrollbars. Are they too pale/plain? - Sep 24 2008

Forgot to ask, where can I find such wallpapers like yours, minimal yet say so much? - May 08 2008
Hey, this is a wonderful theme, everything matches so perfectly, elegant and neat, brilliant!

Only this much rating? It should be above 70% IMHO, I guess people only dig those dark themes, nonetheless, you got my vote, good.

And if can suggest, do a full set of the icon theme, including as many things as possible, of course, take your time.;) - May 08 2008

Oye Roby,

Its the same mate, just to be sure, I downloaded and applied the latest version and its still the same.

Just so you could know, I'm trying this on a Linux Mint 4 live! cd. One more thing I should mention is, the theme doesn't install by the default tar file it downloads. I have to apply the tar within this tar file. Is this by design like this or should it apply from the base tar itself?

Ah GREAT!! you're working on the Golden-Black :D

Waiting eagerly, take your time :P

It real hard on eyes, the original was better if you ask me, please do something about it. - Jan 04 2008

Well since I've become a fan of this slickness, I'd like to suggest a Golden-Black theme on the same.

I would gladly like to help in any way possible.

Thanks for the wallpapers.

No need to thank me, you deserved it, its a wonderful theme. I also think this theme is a good base point for future themes with different colours and all.

Hope to see more rocking themes from you. Good job :D - Dec 22 2007

Great work mate, now if only you can take care of the gnome-main-menubar(the applications, places, system thing) and change the font color of it too..!

Do this and this theme is perfect. :) - Aug 01 2007
Sorry but the new window border is even worse than the 1st one, I suggest sticking with the 2nd one, well atleast my personal opinion, the new "slick" border isn't that slick, the bottom corners are ugly mix of square and round.

Probably concentrate on fixing other issues like those I mentioned above.

Don't get me wrong, its a great theme and I love it, just don't overdo it ;) - Jul 29 2007
Nice theme except for the gnome-main-menubar and Openoffice menus where everything is white.

Please rectify this.

Then this is one of the best themes ever :) - Jul 27 2007

Yes a unique looking theme but the blue menu border is a total washout... it ends up making the entire theme lame.

Cool work Cimi.

But i'm unable to get that effect, have installed all the engines(candido & cairo) and all's fine, tried changing stuff in murrine-configurator, set custom options like roundness etc but nothing happens. All i see is plain murrina gtk2 themes without any effect like roundness, glass, etc. I'm on FC6 64bit.

any ideas? - Feb 15 2007
