This is by far the best dock like app. - Apr 27 2010
When installing python-numpy i get a warning, i dont know if it's related, but i get the same error that happens when python-numpy is not installed on Jaunty. - Aug 19 2009
Thanks for considering. - Apr 08 2009
Thank you man, now is working great.
Since you have been spoiling us with our requests (which is great by the way), I would like to ask one more thing; it would be great if dockbarx could show only the app icons running in the current workspace like windows list applet does.

Thanks anyway, great app. - Apr 07 2009

The second error message is from the bug I've (hopefully) fixed this morning. I will release a new version with the bug fix shortly.

Can't wait, ;). - Apr 06 2009
Ok, running from the terminal i get the following messages
Quote:

dockbar init
/usr/bin/dockbarx.py:371: DeprecationWarning: PyArray_FromDimsAndDataAndDescr: use PyArray_NewFromDescr.
for row in pixbuf.get_pixels_array():
RuntimeError: called outside of a mainloop
RuntimeError: called outside of a mainloop

That happens when i close any application. - Apr 06 2009
Does anyone having problems with jaunty, because i'm getting the following message:
Quote:
This problem report does not apply to a packaged program.(/usr/bin/docbarx.py)

It is an annoying popup but dockbar keeps working.

Nice to see this new feature, it is great. - Apr 05 2009
Yes it happens with both versions, i will try with custom launcher and let you know - Apr 05 2009
I'm using MacUltimate Leopard icon theme, and i've noticed that the calc or writer app is shown with the default open office icon. - Apr 03 2009
i vote for the original align implementation, or at least a configuration option. - Mar 25 2009
The popup windows is not align with the app icon and i think it could use some delay to show up when you roll over the app icon.
And as a suggestion, it would be very nice to see some integration with jaunty in term of the look of the popup windows, maybe make them look more like the notification popups.

Anyways great fork....., sorry experimentation. - Mar 25 2009

The /home/user/.conkycolor directory is created with root ownership so in order to conky-color to work you should do the following:

sudo chown user:user .conkycolor

where user is your username. - Nov 12 2010
When trying ./conky-color options no matter which option you use, it always give you a segmentation fault error - Nov 09 2010

i would really like to see this implemented. I've already posted about this problem before.

- Mar 02 2009
I'm not using compiz, just plain gnome with composite enabled and i've notice that minimizing effect (shrinking framebox) goes to lower left corner instead of the corresponding icon.

Anyway great app. - Feb 27 2009
Doesn't work for me

Quote:

Add launchers:
1.To add launchers simply drag the launcher you want from your gnome menu to the dockbar.
2.Write in the class name of the application whose launcher you added in the entry dialog and press OK.
3.The launcher will appear after (on the right side) of the button you dropped the launcher of.

Step 2: Which entry dialog?, nothing happens after i drag the launcher, it just creates the laucher in the panel. it doesn't show any entry dialog. - Feb 26 2009
i just notice that the minimizing effect in metacity, you know the frame box shrinking to the panel, goes to the bottom right corner instead of the place where the corresponding icon is.
Don't mind me if you think i'm too picky, i just love it.

Thanks. - Jan 30 2009
Now we're talking, great dude. - Jan 30 2009
Nice applet, but for better integration i think that the applet should use the current icon theme, instead of the app icon, and it would be great to be able to keep in dock those application you use the most, you know like a app launcher.

Thanks. - Jan 21 2009
