i don't think mithrilhall wanted to joke about other people's beliefs. i should think, he (she?)'s just had enough of it.

actually, i'm sick of mixing religion with linux, too.

unless you treat linux as a religion, they have nothing in common, and i can see no reason why i could want to have an atheist wallpaper instead of my current kde one.

besides, i'm very curious if all those christian fanatics would support a muslim/buddhist/whatever else wallpaper, too? - Apr 06 2007

oh, dear. this looks really strange to me, and i have no idea what i could do about it...
putting the .sh file into /usr/local/bin is just to make it stay in the path. you can put it anywhere else, too - just modify the "exec" line in the .desktop file to point to the right location.
could you please try to run the .sh file from the console and tell me what errors it reports? (just "sh listFiles.sh ".) - Jan 30 2007

i voted up because i probably couldn't agree more with you. the so-called western world is unbelievably egocentric and closed despite all the slogans it keeps repeating without at all seeing that they're the first not to follow them.
although, i'm afraid most people will just pass by this mascot and think you're a muslim terrorist trying to undermine their sacred freedom.
btw. i hate it when people say "muslim terrorists" - it's just raising aggression against a religion none the less peaceful than buddhism or christianity. a tremendous ignorance.
my post's prolly too long to be read, too :/ - Sep 27 2006

i notice there's a great disproportion in how much is talked about 9-11 and virtually all the other tragedies happening all around the world.

why don't we have a "palestinian civilians killed by israeli forces" tribute or a "vietnamese civilians killed by the brave us army" tribute and the like? - Aug 28 2006

beany, i bet you're a very nice person :) and if you say this thing makes you laugh than i think it must have been worth the time it took to create...
...which can by no means alter the fact that i, too think it's a horrible piece of you-all-know-what, and sort of out of place here.

however, i can see there's been a great progress in ulbe's uploads. no handicapped people in this picture. none at all. keep it up! (please!)

the fact that you've spent a lot of time doing it does not make it a good wallpaper.
it can at most make it an bad wallpaper with a rich past, but still and most of all - bad
if you don't like it yourself, don't hope anyone else will. if you do, please consider growing up. - Aug 10 2006
bill is an unbelievable cynic. he charges so much for such a crappy os because people are stupid enough to pay it. probably most people would charge that much if they could but also probably most people would have made it much better beforehands.

anyway, this has nothing to do with this wallpaper. imho, kde-look should be collecting kde wallpapers or at least nice wallpapers. this one is neither.

people, please, don't post things so ugly even if for some weird reason you think the idea behind them is funny (it usually isn't) / trendy (one of the most stupid arguments possible) / politically correct (probably the most stupid argument possible) / whatever else (again, it usually isn't).

do you mean that whenever i want to add a personal opinion on sth not concerning the upload very strictly, i should start a new thread on some forum and only post a link to the thread so that anyone has a chance to find it? it seems to me it'd be taking even more space. besides, your post doesn't seem to be connected with the upload too much, either. - May 18 2006
i'm probably an idealist and perfectionist deep down. it's causing me enough headache not to be able to get my own work as fine as i'd like it to be. i guess you're right. i'll go to the fridge and have a beer the first moment i feel like a bit of sport. - May 16 2006
everyone for your support :)
don't you find it funny is some strange way that the comments on this proposition are in general positive while the rating is pretty low?
i guess it means a big "no" from the takers, as maitre could put it, and a "yes" from the givers...
sometimes i feel like it's time for me to become a bitter old man. - May 15 2006
this is not exactly so. of course, all opinions count but generally speaking it's not true that they all count equally. you can call me whatever you wish but don't tell me that if i had a heart attack i'd be as ready to follow a plumber's advice as that of a cardiologist.
uploading anything or not is of course not a great way to determine whether someone has a good or good taste.
still, i prefer being voted down by someone who's uploaded sth than by someone who's just dropped in for the first and last time. - May 14 2006
