- Jan 11 2011

Are you running Maverick?

This is the description of libdbus-glib1.0-cil

dbus-sharp is a fork of ndesk-dbus, which is a C# implementation of
D-Bus. It's often referred to as "managed D-Bus" to avoid confusion
with existing bindings (which wrap libdbus).

D-Bus is a message bus, used for sending messages between
applications. Conceptually, it fits somewhere in between raw sockets
and CORBA in terms of complexity.

This package provides integration into the GLib mainloop and contains
the dbus-sharp-glib library itself.

That is the library lost on your system, you need it.

Add the docky unestable ppa as I said on description, install docky from there then install stacks.

Add this

or use ubuntutweak

The libraries are provided by the ppa I think. - Dec 12 2010
try this, please say me if you get it working.

sudo apt-get install mono-runtime libc6 libdbus-glib1.0-cil libdbus1.0-cil libgconf2.0-cil libgio-cil libglib2.0-0 libglib2.0-cil libgnome-keyring1.0-cil libgnomedesktop2.20-cil libgtk2.0-0 libgtk2.0-cil libmono-addins0.2-cil libmono-cairo2.0-cil libmono-corlib2.0-cil libmono-posix2.0-cil libmono-sharpzip2.84-cil libmono-system-web2.0-cil libmono-system2.0-cil libnotify0.4-cil librsvg2-2.18-cil libwnck2.20-cil libx11-6 gconf2 librsvg2-common dockmanager

These are the dependencies for docky BZR, it uses a lot of mono libraries... - Dec 10 2010

sorry, that was redundant xD

My version is written in c, not c++, and use only standar and pseudo standar libraries, I offer you if you want to use it, but don't work as nautilus script because I don't know the nautilus libraries... but I think it can be changed very easy..

My program use only the extension, not the name.. so you can add in the code all extensions you want to delete - Aug 03 2010
I have a GPL free implementation of this in c (not as nautilus extension, but is easy to do), if you want, only ask ;)

also, the code is easy to expand to others extensions :D - Aug 03 2010

Yes, it's true, because it's my first app in gambas and I was learning, it's only GUI. If you want to RE-write all in Gambas, it would be cool, I don't do it because I'm working in other application now and I think that is not necessary to re-code it, but you are free to do all you want, because it's GPL ;) - Mar 02 2010

this is not a script problem, the problem is a bug in the gnome program that change the wallpapers with the xml file... I don't know which application do this work, so I can't fix it. - Feb 05 2010
The xml file is the same, I don't know why it shoud be different, I can't change the structure for this files, but the script has been optimized a lot.

I must say that if xml backgrounds or the transitions don't work fine for you, it's not problem of the script, the script only create the background.

The custom dialog for nautilus is the name of the script, it's as simple as change the name of the script. It don't create an extra menu for nautilus, I think it's not necesary.

The most important thing in this version is the language support. - Jan 27 2010
DONE - Jan 27 2010
You can fix this problem adding this lines at the beginning:

if [ -f /bin/tempfile ]; then
echo "using tempfile ..."
if [ -f /bin/mktemp ]; then
echo "using mktemp ..."
echo "error: mktemp or tempfile not found ..."
zenity --error --text "You will need tempfile or mktemp utility!! "

I will upload a new version with the changes. Thanks - Jan 16 2010

you mean something like this... when you logout, the script save the lastest image of the xml background and put it as background, then, when you login, the script wait "X" seconds and put the xml file as backgroud... it would be an solution.

You can use gconftool, a bash example for streched background:

gconftool-2 --type=string --set \
/desktop/gnome/background/picture_options stretched
gconftool-2 --type=string --set \
/desktop/gnome/background/picture_filename /FOLDER/TO/IMAGE/IMAGE.JPG - Jan 24 2010
I think it's posible to add xml backgrounds support, it's difficult but possible. The xml backgrounds have this structure at top

I don't know exactly how it's works, but I think that Start time indicate the time when the first background file is put as background.

A background have this structure:

So, this have a duration... I thin you can calculate which of the wallpapers must be show with an recursive function.

A way to do this is to create a function for xml files, then, if the background selected is an xml file, the function is called and change the background at same time that the xml file... you calculate the actual background only and change it every X seconds, indicated in the xml file. - Jan 24 2010
