Installation

Download the package and execute the following command from your terminal (for install or upgrade). 

plasmapkg2 --install org.kde.plasma.dittomenu.tar.gz

or 
plasmapkg2 --upgrade org.kde.plasma.dittomenu.tar.gz


Use

+ Right click on panel > add widgets > search "Ditto" > Double click on Ditto
or
+ Right click on another menu > Show alternatives > Select Ditto Menu

8 Great menu, would it be possible to bring back the complete set of 4 power options (or at least just restart), or at least have an option for it? I really loved that about the old version.

6 Hello, I was wondering if you could add the option to DARKEN the rest of the screen while keeping the ditto menu, like this:

Not like the one you linked, I like the menu in the center.
Good app BESIDES that, would love if you could add this?

9 Hi! I really like this menu. It is minimal aesthetically, and its appearance at the center of one's monitor works for a lot of desktop layouts.

There are just two things I *wish* I could do. First, is change what the default section is upon opening it. Is there a way to make it so that, upon opening, it defaults to my favorites? And, is it possible to change which applications are included in my favorites?

Also, is it possible to change the location on one's desktop in which it appears? I don't hate it appearing in the center, but I wish I could have it appear near the bottom of my screen, just above my Latte Dock and centered from left to right. This is really particular, so I understand if such functionality is not possible.

Regardless, thank you for designing such a good menu!

Hi, Great Work... Few Suggestions... If you can incorporate...

- This is opening in mid screen... can it open near menu icon...
- Entries with larger names are truncated... So can you add tool-tip to show the full name of the app/software... Even on lock / power off and settings icon...
- Although you have made favorites/recent items to show as a dot... Can you set it to open the recent items by default on clicking the menu

8 it is good,cuz i want a non-fullscreen application view . it would be nice allow ajust icon size,and show the recent open application or file. allow set the favorite as default page.

hi, please open the package with Ark (compress application, you can view this folder? https://imgur.com/a/K7FNjiZ).
Extract the content in ~/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/ then restart plasmashell "kquitapp5 plasmashell ; sleep 1 ; plasmashell &" and kwin "kwin_x11 --replace &" . Then try to use it.
It's strange what is happening, I managed to install it on other computers.

Hi, check if exist the folder "~/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.dittomenu/".
If not exist, download the package and run "plasmapkg2 -i org.kde.plasma.dittomenu.plasmoid".
If exist you can select settings of panel > add widgets > select "Ditto menu".

I tried to install v0.11 via plasmapkg2 but it didn't worked (says "could not open package file") But i downloaded the previous version (the one from 2019-07-05) and installed it via plasmapkg2 and it worked perfectly.

Hello,org.kde.plasma.dittomenu doesnt exist in ~/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids after installation. Also,i tried out plasmapkg2 -i org.kde.plasma.dittomenu.plasmoid and it shows some kind of error. I have also tried installing it from the option "install from file" but the next button is greyed out. Seems like noone can install this widget,if you can check it out, it would be great

if it says it already exists try "plasmapkg2 -u org.kde.plasma.dittomenu.plasmoid"

with -i it says : could not open package file and with -u it says : error: plugin is not installed.

Hey,thanks for replying. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work. When i install it with Add Widgets option it shows an empty icon with no name and when i drag it somewhere it does nothing. Also, when i try to install it manually it shows some errors and again,it shows only the icon,no name in the widget list.

hi, can you add an option to show the menu in full screen? but I dont wanna the apps spread in entire of the screen. just a full screen blurring white background, with an apps icons on middle of the screen. thank you
