I used this applet in Ubuntu 9.04, and it worked great, but I can not install it in Ubuntu 9.10, would you please take a look at it? thanks.

This applet is so useful, I almost can not live without it.

1. Don't know why? every time I boot up the computer, the SimpleRemoteControl does not play music, but I can run command 'mpc play' to play, and then I have to kill and rolad SimpleRemoteControl to make it work, any comment? thanks.

2. There is no dependency 'python-gnomeapplet' in Ubuntu repository.

I wanted to install the 0.6 and the 0.6.1 by .deb but then there is a message: "python-gnomeapplet (>= 2.24.1)" what can I do? I'm so sorry, I'm a beginner

I download your deb and install it, everyting works fine, but if I remove and re-install the deb, than there is no Simple Remote Control option in the applet list, what is the problem?

try to logout and then re-login...
Gives time to gnome to follow your actions, not be impatient :D

I'm sorry, but by now I'm developing some other function for this applet..so I don't know when and if I have time to implemente the amarok support...

however I suggest you to try mpd,
could happen that you don't need anymore the amarok support :)

excuse if I answer only now, but I was a little commited..

so the theme is shiki-colors,

here you will find gtk theme, icon theme and gdm theme...

Didn't install for me as Ubuntu (Hardy) also seems to be missing gnome-applet-python.... Had a look at synaptic and couldn't find it to download either.

the name of the packages that I use changes from a distribution to another.
So I suppose that the solution to yours problems is to post the applet in pkg format...

so waits a little bit, I will install ubuntu and I will build the .deb

I cant install this on Ubuntu 8.10. I opened the instal.sh and a window pop up saying:

Welcome to the graphic SimpleRemoteControl installer...

so I click on "OK" and nothing happens

To install any downloaded Appimage via GUI, use this tool AppImagelauncher.

To install Appimages from Appimagehub via CLI use appimage-cli-tool.
This allows you to e.g. search appimages with "app search xyz" and install any appimage via command "app install #id".
