Instead of using it to display heaps of info about his computer, it's just setup for music and email. propably MPD music player and a script for checking gmail.

How did you configure it to be so clear?
Just thinking of the Apllication Icons in the window list or the icons in systray...

oh and yeah the notification area is hidden in a drawer with a transparent icon (the lil arrow next to the clock)

I managed to install extra preference plugin. but this one just stops.
anyone having same problem with FreeBSD? too bad this plugin is not in the ports collection.
it´s a bit ironic that you have to install new features in order to remove things that are already there :-)

Highlight and click Configure Plugin.
However the hide toolbards is not in that, it is however listed in Buddy List Options which is a different plugin and allows you to hide the tool bar.
